What modifications do you have to the car(s)?
66 - 1st factory options - 289 4V, single exhaust, auto, PB (drum), PS, AC, tinted windows, console, deluxe interior aka Pony Int (includes: day night interior mirror, pony seats, wood grain dash & door handles and wood grain wheel etc..., courtesy lights, this eliminated the overhead 'dome light' ), 8k rally pac, retractable seat belts, rally wheels, AM 8-track stereo, door edge guards, 1/4 panel trim delete, trunk courtesy light, seat belt warning light, parking brake warning light

'66 MODS- Custom Ram Air hood (prototype in pictures, this really works quite well) Boss 302 4-speed close ratio Top Loader, 3:55 Detroit Locker 8" rear, rebuilt 289 blue printed and balanced, race port job on stock heads with stock valve sizes, port matched Cobra repro 4-V intake, custom headers Jet Hott coated to allow the power steering to remain as built, custom dual stainless steel (316-L) exhaust, roller cam about 288 degree and 0.540" lift I&E, roller rockers, windage tray, Ford Mustang GT rear springs with nylon 66 bushings, poly urethane strut bushings, disc brake conversion as factory for '65-'66 keeping the power booster, Export/Shelby shock tower brace, deleted the rocker panel trim.  I'm probably missing something.

'88 DSS 306 short block, race port job on heads with stock valve sizes to '78 302 heads with threaded rocker arm studs, cam about 288 degree with 0.519" lift, stock intake cut apart hogged out ported and welded back together, port matched, MAF conversion,

What mods to you have planned for the future?

'66 - none '88 TFS track heat heads, GT-40 intake, change headers,

What was your original goal for the car(s)?

'66 restore to like new, make it faster, handle better and continue use as a daily driver. That was abrubtly ended when hit nearly head on in 1993 by a girl driving at night with her head lights off in Lambertville, NJ. Really.

What is your present goal for car(s)?
I have the same basic plan for the 1988 5.0 GT '66 finish it and sell it. '88 Repaint it.

What was your reason for buying the car(s)?

'66 - I began to like the 'box' year Mustangs (grew up with a '70 fastback) and wanted one from the year I was born after driving a '69 coupe with a 3 speed and 200 six cylinder and buying a '69 coupe 302 auto car for parts which drove so nice I fixed it for my sister instead.  We both got the same gas milage but hers was much faster.  The search for a V-8 '66 began after that; circa 1987

What other cars have you considered buying?
'63 split window Corvette,  I almost traded the '66 for one but chose not to in the last moment.

How did you find this car?
In the Philly Inquirer collectible cars section ('66).
Bought it from a co-worker ('88)

What is your favorite thing about your car?
Driving them.

Car / Driver achievements
about 300,000 mile on the 1988 GT.

What is your Best 1/4 time?
13.6 on street tires with weight as manufactured and the only modification outside of the engine being SSM lower bars

Do you have any regrets along the way?

Not having more time for this.

I wouldn’t call it regrets, but some advice I have based on my dealings with multiple vendors/shops.

1) When paying someone to do something, put what you expect to be done in writing. Most shops are so busy that they do what is normal for them and any promise made to you is forgotten or may be forgotten.

2) When making custom headers in the future I’ll use 304 or 316 stainless steel as the Jet Hot coating rusts through.

What was or is your favorite vehicle to this day and why?
My 1999 Yamaha R1.  10.0 sec quarter mile at 136 mph, corners like crazy and on the street delivers 53+ mpg.  I'm not so crazy about how people tailgate all the time today.  and I do mean all the time.

What other things do you enjoy besides cars?
too many things to list, but time with family and friends, teaching/coaching motorcycle road racing, hunting, in general being out doors.

How did you find SSOTN?
When I was searching for information on the location of the fuel pump relay 9 years ago I found the SSOTN.

What do you enjoy most about the Nats?
Seeing friends that I dont get to see very often and watching some of the other memebers awesome cars run.

Do you have a favorite movie?
Not really,, but I like movies such as "The Quiet Man,  The Big Sleep, The Matrix etc...

What type of music do you listen to?
all kinds but mostly what would be considered classic rock and oldies, classical and contemporary.
