Do you have any regrets along the way? The occasional Hangover
What was or is your favorite vehicle to this day and why? My original baby that died a slow death at Penn State, my 1985 Mustang GT. This was one of my first cars I owned which completly turned me into a Mustang Junkie.
So how was it to not only attend your first Nat's, but to also be on the track for the first time? As for being on the track, I was really nervous. I was afraid I was going to do something stupid or break the car. I didn't really know the first thing about proper tire pressure, launching, or even best shift points. I was, however, privelaged enough to have some good coaches (Turfmn, Glenn Sullivan, Jules, NoModYet, etc.) to help me through the day. As for attending the NATs, it was great. I had so much fun meeting everyone. I am amazed by the comaradare this group has, and how everyone makes a new member feel welcome.
What do you do for enjoyment besides Mustangs? I like eating (especially mashed potatos), drinking Irish carbombs, playing poker, watching Pittsburgh Steelers, hanging out with friends and family, and watching movies and my TiVo.
Who is your biggest rival on the track, and why? Myself, I know my car is capable of better times and I know it is me that needs the practice. Before I even attempt to rival others I hope to start beating my current times.
What upcoming events in 2004 do you plan on racing in if any? Fall NATS
One last question, What is your favorite part of SSOTN, and why? The people I have come to know over this past year. It has been an honor for an amature like me to get such great advice from all the knowledgeable members without being illtreated.
We thank you for your time, and wish you the best in the future.
Congrats to Darick Leighty for being the SSOTN Featured Member for June 2004.
