| What modifications do you have
to the car(s)? |
Nothing added as of yet, only stuff getting pulled off. Cracked front bumper and fenders off, interior getting pulled. It's definately not a looker right now. Still in beginning stages. Well we look forward to doing a re-feature on you in the near future when it's completed. -Matt
|
| |
| What mods to you have planned for
the future? |
347 stroker and a 5 speed. Saleen body panels and I plan to reshoot the stock red and replace the interior with black. Possibly in a few years put in a Cobra IRS and set it up for open-tracking.
|
| |
| What was your original goal for
the car(s)? |
| Just a 5.0 conversion |
| |
| What is your present goal for car(s)? |
| A nice 347 street car that I can take to beach cruises and take to the track. As of now it's still a work in progress.
|
| |
| What was your reason for buying
the car(s)? |
It was free, I can't complain. Plus it was a fox Mustang. Free is always good -Matt
|
| |
| What other cars have you considered
buying/presently own? |
| Late 80's early 90's BMW 325
Camaro (mom's a Maro girl) You poor guy. -Matt
|
| |
| How did you find this car? |
| One of my best friends told me of his dad's boss having a Mustang he wanted to get rid of. It was originally for his daughter but she didn't want it. It sat for about two years in his backyard. He said if I could get it out of there I could have it for free. Picked it up and trailered it home the next day :) |
| |
| What is your favorite thing about your car? |
| It's a Mustang for one and a car I enjoy working on. Also, the thought of what it will be once it's "finished." |
| |
| What are some of your Car / Driver
achievements? |
Started right up after two years of being dormant. |
| |
| Shout outs to people that helped
you achieve these goals? |
My father for getting me addicted to cars since I was born. My mom for letting me use (and "clean") the garage, my friend Bryan for helping get the Mustang, and all the SuperStallions for their info and ideas, as well as support. You guys are awesome. Thanks Cal, great having you around. -Matt |
| |
| What is your Best 1/4 time? |
| I could probably do it in a couple minutes on foot.
|
| |
| Do you have any regrets along the
way? |
| Not one. This is a great experience for me and an opportunity to do something that's fulfilling and fun.
|
| |
| What was or is your favorite vehicle
to this day and why? |
| I've always had a fondness for the BOSS cars. Even though it wasn't a real BOSS, I remember seeing a 94 GT at a dealership when it was first introduced. Yellow with black stripes and BOSS on the side. I thought that was awesome. |
| |
| What other things do you enjoy
besides cars? |
| Hanging out with friends, drawing paintball, biking, going to the shooting range. |
| |
| What upcoming events in 2007 do you plan on attending, if any? |
| 2007 Spring Nats (as a spectator) and some others. Hope to see you at the Nats! -Matt
|
| |
| Have you considered attending the Nats? |
| Yup. Haven't been able to until now. |
| |
| How did you find SSOTN? |
| Picked up an 03 issue of 5.0 Mustang and saw an article with the club name. After seeing the name pop up a few times I decided to check em out. |
| |
Congrats to Calvin Herbert Jilek for being the SSOTN
