Original Goal for car A car that would kick 99.8% of all ass on the street, I’ve achieved that.
Present Goal for Car Same as original but I want 11’s in full weight street trim…time to go after 99.9%
Reason for buying car Always loved Mustangs, wanted a fast car, and a White 96-98 Cobra just had a major sentimental value to me.
Other cars you considered buying: 99 30th Anniversary Trans Am, Lincoln LS, 99+ Jeep Cherokee Limited
Car / Driver achievements Go to the track and made 10+ passes without issues, drove right back home.
Shout outs to people that helped you achieve these goals Thanks Dad for being my personal mechanic, Mom for not killing me through this entire process, and my brother for always making me strive to be the best. All my friends for keeping me interested and supporting me. And of course SSOTN for putting together this great site where we are able to get together race and make friends. Most of all thanks to Rick Havranek for inspiring me to pursue this hobby as well as other aspects of my life, Rest in Peace September 6, 1997.
Best time 13.88 at 106 2.3 60’ with a blown rear and a few other issues…will go 12s NA
Do you have any regrets along the way? None, Live life without regrets.
What was or is your favorite vehicle to this day and why? I have 2 major ones, and both for the same reason. 87-88 GTA and 96-98 Cobra, both were introduced to me by my best friend I lost, and they’re both timeless designs.
What was your main reason was for becoming a part of the internets first and best mustang club? I met Jimmy V years ago at Englishtown and he handed me a card, I registered but never got into it. About a year later Jules told me about it when I met him and I realized its a lot of local guys, I couldn't stop once I stated.
Who is your biggest rival on the track, and why? Currently, Jules. Our cars are just too similar, legit 12-second cars on motor and then the nitrous.
What upcoming events in 2005 do you plan on racing in if any? Of course the Nats in the Spring and Fall, a few Englishtown events and of course the street nights around here.
We thank you for your time, and wish you the best in whatever you decide to do in the future.
Congrats to Timothy Babit for being the SSOTN Featured Member for January 2005.
